M·A·C Makeup Art Cosmetics SS17 – Kabuki Magic

“The heart and soul of M·A·C Cosmetics comes alive backstage through the art of makeup. Our Artists, masters of their craft, create beauty looks that impact the runway. Now, M·A·C teams up with three makeup maestros – Diane Kendal, James Kaliardos and Kabuki – in collections reflecting their signature style. Learn from the best, then make it your own!”

What more could you want when it comes to a makeup collection, to have products designed and inspired by some of the world’s best makeup artists to me that is just the icing on the cake. These collections are nothing short of amazing, the colour’s are vibrant, wearable and so versatile that the your level of creativity has no limits. I was recently lucky enough to be invited by  M·A·C as a special guest to attend their event in Auckland, this hands down has got to be one of the biggest highlights in my 8 years as a Makeup Artist.

I was lucky enough to not only meet, but watch the makeup maestro Kabuki in action, and let me tell you he is so incredibly humble and not to mention talented. Chatting to him I was in awe, his creativity is endless he pictures things even I as an artist wouldn’t think to create or put together.  His personal collaboration with M·A·C boasts many amazing products, and i’m not being bias when I say that some of his products have fast become my faves and have even made a swift entrance to my freelance kit.

With a portfolio including the likes of Michael Jackson, Kendal Jenner, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Madonna and the list goes on, plus he is even the man behind Carrie Bradshaw’s signature look for Sex and the City seasons 1 & 2 how freaking cool is that!! Having worked on dozens of Fashion Week Show’s worldwide, appearances in many of the major fashion magazines globally his work really does speak for itself, so make sure you take a look into the legend that is Kabuki.
