MAC Charlotte Olympia Overview

“Inspired by Pin-ups, silver screen sirens and the by gone era of old Hollywood glamour. The British the British luxury shoe and accessory designer is known for a vintage aesthetic that ebodies elegance and femininity with a hefty dollop of charm. Now the nostalegic allure of Charlotte Olympia is captured in a MAC Collection of retro-glam colour”

MAC kindly sent me 4 items from this collection and they are stunning, especially as we are now in Autumn, it’s nice to still see some colour coming through. Two of the items were Cream Colour bases $48 (Shades Golden Age & Sepia). I absolutely adore Cream Colour bases, these shades particularly are fantastic for darker skin, or simply warming up light to medium skin tones.

Golden Age would have to be a fave, it has a sheen that sits so nicely on the skin, where as Sepia is deeper so can be worn on my skin tone as a light contour or even a base for your shadow. The lip colours I received are to die for, if you love yourself a pop of strong colour these little babes are totally for you.

Retro Rouge and Starlett Scarlett $44 are both a Matte Formula and really pack a punch when it comes to colour pay off. Retro Rouge is described as a deep brown – red where as Starlett Scarlett is more of a True Red – to me this one particularly is very Old Hollywood think Marilyn Monroe.

This is a Limited Edition Collection where all of the products are dressed in simplistic clear packaging with chic accents of gold. Very reflective of Charlotte Olympia’s style. Available at selected MAC Counters Nationwide from April 18th, this is definitely one to check out, to me it set’s itself apart well from other previous collaborations MAC have done.
