It’s not every day you are contacted by a Photographer from the USA, so when this opportunity came my way I couldn’t say no. Jeremy from Billie Jo + Jeremy is such a fascinating person to have a conversation with.Every year he comes to NZ and fly’s out from Christchurch to Antarctica where he works for a few months at a time, the other part of the year he is back in the United States running his business as a Photographer with his wife.
Jeremy contacted me on the off chance that within the 5 days he had left in Christchurch, we could throw together what was meant to be a casual engagement shoot. Note to self never leave Stacey in charge of organizing, because next thing we know I had my hands on this incredible Rue De Seine Bridal Gown from Paper Swan and a full bridal shoot was well underway.
It’s not hard to see why I just had to go full steam with this shoot, Wedding Season is probably the best part of what I do. Don’t get me wrong I love every single aspect of what my job entails, but there’s just something so special about being apart of the biggest day of someone’s life. I have witnessed so many incredible moments between friends and family members, it’s those moments that make the 5am road trips totally worth it.
Before I get all soppy let’s get back to the shoot, Jeremy’s style is super relaxed, and me well I LOVE all things Boho when it comes to Weddings. From the lace upon lace to the loose bouquets and soft hair – what’s not to love? So we chucked around a few ideas and voila this is the final product!
Jeremy is available for NZ bookings so please do inquire as to when he is available here, also a Huge thank you to my beautiful friend Sophie and her Partner Marcus from Portfolio Modelling Agency for making both of our jobs so incredibly easy, to Paper Swan on High Street for the incredible gown and Charmed Flowers for the beautiful loose bouquet.
