Homewares have no doubt become my new found obsession, since building our first home together at the end of last year. Our home is our haven, but deciding on how to style each room can be a bit of a task.
This week we were sent in store to Adair’s located at Riccarton Mall here in Christchurch on a bit of a shopping spree to tackle one of our remaining guest bedrooms that was yet to be styled. Every time I walk into Adair’s I'm overwhelmed with all the options, so many ideas come flooding to my head, making it hard to resist the temptation of absolutely just going for it and walking out with the entire shop.
Our general style is quite Boheme, inspired by earthy tones, texture, greenery and the odd pops of colour. This room we wanted to do something a little different whilst still maintaining the flow from the rest of the house. I have always loved the way blush works with natural tones, but Regan had always said I'm not having pink in the house LOL typical male response am I right?!
Well what do you know .. we walked out with the most beautiful peachy blush quilt and it looks incredible in the space!!! Because the quilt is quite a vibrant tone, we chose to accessorise with natural woods, soft toned throw and cushion, a little greenery and some wildflowers I had previously foraged for. We opted for these accessories because they are items that won’t go out of fashion and we can also change them up around the rest of our home.
Adair’s had such a great selection of items in store, especially with their beautiful new Spring collection sitting pretty and they also had an awesome sale on... just to throw that in the mix of making decisions even harder.
My favourite buy out of everything would have to be our artificial palm.I have searched high and low for one that doesn’t look too faux and has realistic texture to it and we finally found one!!. They also had so many great options of baskets for it to sit in, so I ended up walking away with two in typical stacey style, because I just could not make that decision to save myself.
Adair’s pricing is also really attractive, we have put off finishing our other remaining rooms in the past simply because it is quite pricey to set up and style an entire room. Adair’s also have a loyalty programme called Linen Lovers that provides you with great deals instore and online. I didn’t actually know this existed previously, so we signed up in store because lets be honest, this girl is all about the deals lol!
Our time spent in store was so much fun, the staff are great as always and the quality of all our items is incredible! Totally worth heading in store and grabbing yourself some beautiful bargains for your home.
You can recreate our look via the links below, hopefully this makes life a little easier for you if your interested in picking up any of these stunning pieces for yourself.
Here’s to creating beautiful and dreamy spaces thanks to Adair’s new Spring Collection!
